Providing designs upgrading existing Subsea equipment for installation worldwide by working in collaboration with Clients, other OneSubsea divisions and 3rd Party suppliers, 3D Models, Drawings and BOMs for new and existing subsea equipment. Technical checking of detail and arrangement drawings.Mentoring, training and advising less experienced colleagues. Responsible for the writing and implementation of the checking / approval procedure within the office. Local administrator and responsible for the Document Management System.

CAD Lead on several large, multi-disciplined schemes for large and small emission reducing conversion projects on power stations. Iinvolving concept layout, arrangement and detail drawings / models of burner equipment, ducting, structural steelwork and other associated boiler plant equipment. Providing technical advice and developing solutions for other engineering areas, customers and suppliers.Supervisory duties including direct responsiblity for the daily management of the company CAD and associated software / hardware systems for the department. These duties included administration of the Company Document Management System and development of Work Instructions encompassing all aspects of the draughting / modelling process.Man-hour estimating and resourcing.Site visits both domestic and overseas at all stages of the project. Jointly managed the selection, implementation and use of laser scanning technology within the company.

Represented the department and acted as a recognised authority on special projects both internally and externally. Provided the technical interface on the V2500 engine (a joint project between several aerospace companies) through the provision of tolerance stack up drawings in 2D / 3D form to solve major fitting issues. Technically supporting and liasing with sub-contractors, Risk Sharing Partners and clientsAlso worked within the Technical Support area which provided aftermarket support for a wide-ranging fleet of engines.

Worked on the D154 project which included large mechanical, fabricated items and small tools for a M.o.D Nuclear contract. Also employed on conversion contracts for reducing emissions on major power plants. Actively involved in sub-contract development work for Rolls Royce Aerospace (Trent 700).Supervisory duties included the maintenance of professional standards within the CAD team. Participated in and encouraged development through annual appraisals and review.Responsible for the application and continual improvement of the modelling process and ensured that the process was documented and actioned.Compiled Functional Design Specifications to potential suppliers. Assessed and recommended final vendors and requisitioned a range of services and products. Produced manufacturing, quality control and functional testing documentation.Wrote Departmental Work Instructions encompassing all aspects of the draughting / modelling process. Jointly responsible for the selection of a Document Handling System.6-month secondment to customers offices prior to the start up a large project.M.o.D. security cleared to Confidential Atomic (CA) level (not current).
