As the associate principal on the K-12 team at HCM, I lead HCM’s K-12 education policy and innovation practice, including the team’s work on per-pupil expenditure, accountability, school improvement and capacity building at the state and local levels. I partner with state education agencies and other education policy, advocacy and capacity building organizations to scale critical messages and promising strategies for improving education. As a long-time partner to education chiefs and senior leaders in state education agencies across the United States, I understand the value of strategic focus and fidelity of implementation in order to create lasting change. I also am excited about new and innovative education models that districts and communities are growing across the country.

Advised national education organizations and state-based education leaders in order to build capacity in state education agencies and in the field, especially related to school improvement. Provided counsel to state education chiefs, ensuring that they are equipped to achieve their goals for students.
