A Student Experience and Success Graduate Business Partner at Exeter University, working within the Geography Department. My role was to collaborate with people to create initiatives and projects to support Geography students with their experience and success at Exeter. Key Projects and Achievements:• Coordinated the reintroduction of the departments peer mentor scheme to support students during their time at Exeter.• Supported the department with implementing an inclusive student induction program.• Supported the logistics of department student focus events and initiatives. • Improved the academic environment through updating posters, images, and noticeboards.• Conducted an analysis on the departments communications, to support with the establishment of an improved and sustained communication strategy plan, with a key emphasis on Social Media activities.

Worked part time at my local vaccination centre as an administrator. The role involves confidential inputting patient information correctly onto a database system to show that they have had their latest coronavirus vaccination. Additionally, supporting the customer service team at the front desk with patient enquiries in a calm and welcoming manner.

Italy And Austria

Spent two winter ski seasons working with Inghams Ski Company in Italy and in Austria as a Hotel Assistant. Within my job role I was doing customer facing activities, which included, serving behind the bar and waiting in the restaurant. This gave me a different business experiences as I was working in a faster pace environment than I was used to. Additionally, this work helped me to develop my business skills further. For example, communication skills. Also, I learn how to deal with different types of customers to meet their specific needs and any problems they might have. During both seasons I won awards for my exceptional customer service.

Tiverton, Devon

Within the council my position was working as a Business Administrator Apprentice under the guidance of the Health and Safety office. During the apprenticeship I worked closely with many areas of the council, which included the Property Services team. This showed me how different departments interact with each other within an organisation. Towards the end of the apprenticeship I moved to the local Leisure Centre working as a Recreational Assistant, this enabled me to experience front line customer service. Also, through the Leisure Centre I was able to become involved in volunteering at the South West Youth Games, which was a positive experience. A key personal achievement that I was extremely proud with was raising the awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace through creating a series of newsletters. In addition, I was on the shortlist for Mid Devon Apprentice of the year 2017.
