Risk Assurance Partner
CurrentDuncan Fitzgerald is a Risk Assurance Partner in PwC and leads the practice for Financial Services Risk & Regulatory Services in Hong Kong and Guangdong. Duncan is responsible for all aspects of the Financial Services Risk Assurance business, which includes: Advanced Surveillance & Data Analytics for AML/Financial Crime, Information Security (including IT security and Cyber Risk), Culture and Conduct, Internal Audit, Fraud and Forensics, HKMA/SFC/IIA (Independent Insurance Authority) regulatory advisory and assurance, Governance, Enterprise Wide Risk and Compliance services, BCP and Disaster Recovery services. He has been based in Hong Kong since 1996 and was admitted to the PwC partnership in July1999. Duncan leads PwC's Financial Services Risk Assurance practice in Hong Kong and South China and spends the vast majority of his time working with clients in this area.Issues that Duncan has advised clients on include: the review and implementation of enterprise wide Risk Management frameworks, the effectiveness of audit committees, the roles and responsibilities of management and board executive committees, and the use and setting up of remuneration and nomination committees. He has also led a number of significant regulatory compliance assignments for large international banks / investment banks that have experienced regulatory challenges in Hong KongDuncan also leads numerous internal audit and internal control teams for listed companies and companies preparing for listing. He is also a regular speaker at conferences on risk management, corporate governance and internal audit.
