Duncan Fitzgerald is a Risk Assurance Partner in PwC and leads the practice for Financial Services Risk & Regulatory Services in Hong Kong and Guangdong. He is also one of the senior partners responsible for Crypto / digital Asset services in PwC Hong KongHe has been based in Hong Kong since 1996 and was previously with the firm in London. His experience covers a wide range of Governance, Risk, Regulatory and Internal Control assignments ranging from board structure and composition issues through to detailed business process enhancements. His main industry focus areas are Crypto/Digital Assets, banking, capital markets and insurance. Duncan is responsible for all aspects of the Crypto / Digital Assets and Financial Services Risk Assurance business, which includes: Advanced Surveillance & Data Analytics for AML/Financial Crime, Information Security (including IT security and Cyber Risk), Culture and Conduct, Internal Audit, Fraud and Forensics, HKMA/SFC/IIA (Independent Insurance Authority) regulatory advisory and assurance, Governance, Enterprise Wide Risk and Compliance services, BCP and Disaster Recovery services. With business growing at 30%+ over multiple years, Duncan's team has been growing significantly and this growth is continuing.Duncan is a fellow of the ICAEW, and a certified internal auditor. He is also a keen trumpet player and plays regularly with the Stray Katz (a well known Hong Kong 18-piece Big Band).
