Duncan Macgregor is a retired geologist specializing in regional African research, publishing, oil and gas exploration and training. I first had a 20-year employment with BP, working largely in the Far East and thereafter have worked and consulted for a number of independent companies and consultancies, mainly on new ventures and play fairway scale studies in Africa. I am now conducting my own research aimed at eventually compiling an atlas of the evolution of the African plate through time (www.africageologicalatlas.com). I have extensive research interests on the evolution and petroleum systems of the African continent, have written over 20 papers on African and SE Asian petroleum systems and have edited three publications on African petroleum geology. I am happy to be invited to give talks foc to universities, non-commercial conferences etc., but I do not attend commercially run conferences with high registration fees. HEADHUNTERS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS PLEASE NOTE- I am not looking for a full time position nor am I involved in hiring any staff anywhere. Nor am I interested in buying anything!
