As a Lead Design Engineer at SSE Renewables, I am responsible for leading multi-disciplinary design teams and interfacing with key internal and external project stakeholders. With 15 years experience in the energy sector in a consultancy and client role, I have developed and delivered design at the tender and detailed design phases of the project and managed design change during the construction phase. I ensure compliance with legislation, design codes, standards and specifications, H&S requirements and meeting the expectations of the wider business.I have gained a wide range of skills and competencies as a Civil and Lead Engineer, including design management, project and commercial management (NEC 3), safety through design as an appointed CDM Principal Designer, environmental management including SUDS, construction quality assurance, consenting, programme management and procurement.I thrive in a collaborative design and project environment and enjoy creating successful working relationships to achieve project success. I have the ability to adapt to change and project challenges, and I am passionate about Renewables where I want to contribute to a sustainable future and make a positive impact on the Environment.
