As the Executive Director of the International Pemphigus & Pemphigoid Foundation (IPPF), I lead our operations; strategic planning; and partnerships with healthcare, industry, and government agencies. With a background in organizational strategy, communications, and development, I am committed to driving impact and supporting patient education, disease awareness, advocacy, and research in autoimmune and rare diseases.I joined the IPPF in 2014 and held various communications roles before becoming ED in 2022. Growing with the IPPF has only deepened my commitment to our mission. Over the past 10 years, I have also had the privilege of speaking at several conferences, winning service awards, growing corporate sponsorships, and successfully managing our organization's transition after the pandemic.I bring a unique perspective to my role, blending both business and artistic backgrounds, as evidenced by my degrees in business administration and creative writing. This ability to switch between left and right brain activities allows me to approach challenges with curiosity and empathy, driving innovative solutions and meaningful outcomes.Outside of work, I prioritize spending time with my family and pursuing my passions for reading, writing, music, running, and the outdoors. These interests not only bring me joy, but also influence my professional life, enabling me to bring creativity and big-picture thinking to my role.I am always open to networking and collaboration opportunities to further the IPPF's mission, as well as driving positive change beyond the health sector.
