In this role I managed the scholarly peer-reviewed journal from manuscript acceptance through final publication, including performing editorial and prepress processes such as copyediting for grammar, accuracy, style, and consistency; coordinating production processes, establishing and enforcing deadlines; ensuring a timely, error-free release of all assigned journals; serving as the liaison between journal editors, associate editors, editorial board members, reviewers, submitting authors, and journal subscribers; evaluating journal performance and advising relevant parties on addressing areas of concern. I also assisted with the migration of all of Human Kinetics’ journals to a new publishing platform, the development of web platform navigation, and the creation of “static” element copy and content.
