DBA:-*Working as a SQL DBA from last 5 years . my roles and Responsibilities are: Installation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server Instances. Setup Test, Dev, Staging and Production Environments, Create Users and assign permissions based on the level of database access the user would need. Design database Backup,Once created the database Backups, monitor those backups are being performed regularly. Setup High-Availability as part Disaster Recovery Strategy for the Databases. Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues,Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends Monitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning Documenting major changes to the SQL Servers.*Hands-on experience on MySQl and workbench tool*Hands-on experience on PostgreSQL and PgAdmin III toolCLOUD:-* Migrated 50+ windows applications with SQL DB to different cloud platforms. * Hands-on experience on AWS services such as RDS, EC2, S3, EBS, VPC, ELB, AWS Direct Connect etc.* Having Knowledge on Windows Azure.* Created Azure VMs and AWS EC2 boxes through respective consoles as well as through Scalr (Cloud Management Platform).* Created Azure SQL and AWS RDS as SQL as a service.* Having knowledge on IAAS, PAAS and SAAS concepts.* Hands-on experience on New relic dashboard and installing agent in servers and configuring alerts conditions.
