Leading the Global Solid State Led lighting Business Unit activities in Shanghai (Product Development, Product Management ,Purchasing and Supply Chain ). Additionally responsible for the sales of Led based solid state lighting in Asia Pacific .Responsible for a team of 52 people.

Full P&L Responsibility (Sales & Marketing, Inventory Control) of €430 million Colour Television business in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa. Key accomplishment: • Established and substantially grew the LCD TV business in APMEA. • Increased market share in South East Asia and Middle East from 5 to 18%. • More than tripled market share in most competitive market: China from 3% to 10%.

Full P&L Responsibility for €50 million Colour TV business (R&D, Product Mgt., Marketing & Sales and Finance) in Europe for a variety of Institutional customers: hotels, hospitals and cruise liners. 15 people directly reporting and 15 sales reps in our countries. Key accomplishments: • Restructured the organisation and managed the transition from Monza, Italy to Eindhoven, The Netherlands. • Introduced LCD TV range into Institutional TV offering.• Established key-account management structure, and more than doubled the number of direct accounts. • Increased market share from 25 – 32% in one year.

Based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Responsible for total business management of Flat Panel Televisons in Europe (marketing and sales, price setting, product creation input to the business unit,supply chain, after sales service policies. Additional responsibility of Marketing Manager Colour Televisions for France, Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe.

Based in Dubai, U.A.E. Sales & Marketing of Colour Televisions, Video Cassette Recorders and Audio products in the GCC (main markets being Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait), Iran, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, East Africa, West Africa, Algeria and in the re-export channels of Dubai. Responsible for a team of 10 account managers.Key accomplishments:• Grew sales from US$15 million in 1993 to US$125 million in 1997.• Established and grew retail network across the Gulf.• Initiated demand generation activities, including regular sales training for distributors and dealer salesmen, establishing promoter network in key retail outlets.
