Responsible for Results Delivery Office Communications, including developing and implementing program level engagement strategies that move staff to understanding and acceptance of company-wide transformation efforts. • Wrote, reviewed, and edited communications for global audiences from senior level executives, including CEO, Results Delivery EVP, and Human Resources SVP, among others• Conducted interviews and created short, engaging videos with team leads of transformation initiatives. The videos helped staff quickly understand the "why" factor related to changes that were implemented and made it real by humanizing the parties implementing the change• Produced pilot of Amgen's version of the famous TED Talks. Working with a speaking coach and three vice presidents, developed personal and compelling 12-minute talks about very large-scale change initiatives they led. Together, we transformed ordinary presentations into an engaging show that told their stories in ways that were personal to the presenters and relatable for the audience• Communications lead and change management partner for the NextGen Workplace project, which was a key enabler that helped Amgen reduce its geographic footprint by 23%. The multi-year, global project with stakeholders at every level and in every function tore down office walls and row after row of cubicles to provide staff with an activity-based work setting that fosters real-time collaboration and communication. Resistance to this change was extremely high, which made appropriate communications and engagement critical to its success. Now, the amazing views of the Conejo Valley that were seen only by some, are enjoyed by everyone. When surveyed, a clear majority of staff said they would not go back to their old offices and cubicles, if they were offered

Responsible for site-wide communications at corporate headquarters, editorial content and strategy of global Intranet homepage, and production of global newsletter--the Amgen Weekly. • Implemented new MyAmgen editorial strategy focused on the big picture. Developed content that was shorter, less corporate, and more conversational. Outlined strategic editorial themes for the year and then measured against them to ensure targets were met and that sites and regions globally were represented• Developed first online, collaborative editorial calendar tool that allowed editors and content developers to see at a glance which stories or announcements were publication-ready• Created the department's first-ever editorial style guide that outlined our internal company "voice" and resolved discrepancies between AP and the Chicago Manual of Style• Supported Information Systems to install digital signage technology in Thousand Oaks. Developed processes, templates, and guidelines, and then scaled them for global implementation • Led communications for nearly all major site events, including Chili Cook Off, Summerfest, product launches, and milestone celebrations• Provided Security and Business Continuity with crisis communications support during multiple wildfires• Developed department business continuity and crisis management plan and participated in multiple disaster scenario training exercises for the Thousand Oaks site

Played significant roles in planning major investor and all-staff events. • Developed content for nearly every presentation (internally and externally) given by the CEO, President and CFO• Coordinated presentations for analyst meetings, including R&D Days and Business Review Meetings in New York City, and the company's annual meetings in Seattle, Denver, and Los Angeles • Presented the Amgen story at local brokerage firms and individual investor clubs to help them understand their investment in the fastest growing company in Ventura County• Managed database of financial models that allowed the Investor Relations team and senior leaders to quickly and easily compare Amgen's P&L with forecasts of the most important analysts on Wall Street• Was on the Investor Relations front line--taking calls and emails from (mostly happy, but sometimes angry) brokers and individual investors• Worked closely with Human Resources to develop Amgen all staff meetings, including a massive farewell party for Gordon Binder when he retired
