As a Java Backend Engineer, I played a pivotal role in a team working on Microservices that facilitated platform integration with carriers and customers. My primary focus was on data ingestion, which involved handling data from various sources such as FTP, email, APIs, webhooks, and even web scraping. This encompassed the entire ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process.In addition to adding new integrations to the system, including fetching data, data extraction, transformation into internal models, and integration with external APIs, I actively contributed to developing new features and enhancing the platform. I also took responsibility for maintaining public APIs and ensuring the quality of our documentation.The technologies I worked with included Java, Python, Dropwizard, Maven, PostgreSQL, and a wide range of AWS services such as S3, SQS, Lambda, CloudWatch, AWS CLI, Kinesis, Athena, Redshift, and DynamoDB. Our code was managed using GitLab.
