• Preparing the demand calculation for the area using current population data, growth rates, average consumption, family sizes, non-domestic consumptions, house density and non-revenue water consumption.• Designing the diameters for the transmission using the Hazen–Williams equation using the demand prediction for each division. (Ductile Iron)• Designing the diameters for the distribution laying using WaterGEMS software using the demand prediction for each division. (High Density polyethylene pipes)• Drafting the Longitudinal Section drawings and flat plan for the transmission and distribution pipe laying works - contract document specifications and bill of quantities.• Reviewing the detail design drawings submitted by contractor for the service reservoirs (Water Retaining Structures) and pump houses - contract document specifications and bill of quantities.• Mapping of the transmission and distribution laying using ArcGIS software.• Approving materials used for the construction works and finishing works submitted by the contractor.• Gaining approval from the relevant authorities before starting construction works. • Monitoring the progress of the contractor in construction works and pipe laying works. Pipe laying works include excavation of trench, laying of pipe, backfilling, soil compaction, temporary reinstatement of the road, pressure testing, permanent reinstatement of the roads. Construction of the structures include formwork, rebar, concreting, finishing, testing, yard piping, fencing, landscaping and etc.• Carrying out progress meetings weekly with the contractor.• Responding to contractual matters raised by the contractor related to the above scope • Addressing and resolving the issues raised by the public during construction phase.• Inspecting the tests carried out by the contractor.• Addressing design changes and providing new proposals to carry out the construction works at the construction phase.

The finishing shop drawings included the following.o Block wall arrangemento Ceiling arrangemento Bathroom, kitchen and laundry room arrangemento Detail drawings for tiling works of all the rooms in the apartment. o Separate shop drawings for different types of apartments including kitchen arrangement with pantry cupboards, bedroom and living room arrangement with furniture.o Finishing shop drawings of common areas and commercial areas.• Instructing the draftsmen using sketches in compiling the finishing shop drawings.• Co-ordinating with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers and interior designers in preparing finishing shop drawings and meeting their requirement.• Updating the finishing shop drawings according to the changes in the site during construction by coordinating with the construction staff.• Co-ordination with project manager and client representatives to maintain uninterrupted flow of work in order to meet monthly progress.• Supervising the site to check whether the finishing works are in accordance with the drawings.
