●Responsible for daily operations of CVU/MICU: schedules, assignments, incident occurrences, supplies and payroll for >100 employees.●Site Manager for ICU Incident Reporting and harm assignments, investigations, and action planning.●Develop implement and monitor quality improvement, procedures, policies and protocols for TJC Elements of Performance.●Collaborate with Physicians, Residents, and Teams to facilitate patient centered initiatives.●Uphold high standards as a Patient Experience Coach. Implementation and validation of bedside shift report, hourly rounds, and PPC. ●Numerous successful surveys by: The Joint Commission, CMS, and Ohio Department of Health (Hospital, LVAD, HF, ACS, Stroke, etc.)●Clinical /Administrative Applications: API, People Admin, Cornerstone, Mosby’s, NHSN, McKessen, NDNQI, TJC Resources, and Datix.●Interview, hire, and onboard CVU/MICU team members. Maintain compliance through probation, coaching’s, and appraisals. ●Committees: Restraints, Falls, CLABSI, ICU, Opioid, Code Blue, MEWs, Patient Experience, Stroke, Sepsis, Heart Failure, etc.●Appraisal of staff including performance appraisals, corrective action, and awards.●Responsible for ICU budget and productivity (Worked Hours Per Patient Day).

●Position created to develop LVAD program and oversee disease specific TJC certification for LVAD. ●Maintain clinical competency in caring for patients within the unit’s scope of care ●Design unit specific orientation and balance the ICU and step-down staffing needs ●Guide, direct, and mentor other leadership roles such as Lead Nurses, Staff, and Preceptors●RCA reviews and action plan implementation. ●Assist with daily operations of CVU: schedules, assignments, occurrence reports, supplies and payroll
