Managed suppliers including: ordering material, facilitating engineering design changes, interfacing with Source Inspection, and coordinating delivery of material to the construction site. Frequent communication with suppliers to ensure all material deliveries were tracking. Realigned procurement schedules and expedited delivery of bulk materials to ensure construction needs were supported. Developed innovative processes for managing construction priorities and procurement responsibilities including: tri-weekly conference calls to drive critical path items to delivery. This included assigning action owners for each step in the procurement process that prevented delivery. Created a 30-60-90 day look ahead item list to ensure needed items were procured and delivered in a timely manner. This list was then tied to a master embed spreadsheet for items requested by construction and tracked each plate to delivery. Implemented several cost saving measures leading to 250k dollars in savings per unit.
