Lux Laboratory Information System BuildA complete build of the main internal software for the entire laboratory system for tracking clients, patients, providers, specimens, tests and results as well as any other relevant information for those entries.Worked with CIO to closely model how the system should work in collaboration with stakeholders using requirements analysis for each department.First phase was infectious disease testing that involved working to integrate the Quantstudio 12K Flex System with relevant testing panels to the Lux system; followed by non-infectious disease molecular testing.Supported ongoing maintenance and support of Lux utilizing an issue ticketing system built as an additional module. Processed, triaged, and researched thousands of tickets relating to various issues and requests in this system. Software utilizes Vue.js, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and AWS.Lux Clinical Testing Integration BuildCollaborated with the clinical laboratory department to add chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, and urinalysis. Responsible for adding hundreds of tests and panels and required rulesets and logic for the testing regarding those using the PostgreSQL database.Each section was dependent on a different brand and type of machine requiring a process of locating documentation and finding out what appropriate formats and techniques would be required for proper integration. Included formats like HL7 and ASTM and various communication protocols ranging from serial ports to TCP/IP.Testing was performed to ensure every step of the process functioned as expected from specimen accessioning to report output at the end.Lux Molecular Panel Update BuildWorked with Molecular Department to transition part of current panels to new format on a new testing platform. Required integration of the new platform into the Lux system and testing that proper output of patient results was achieved to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Managed multiple molecular testing reigimes for the Hologic Panther system while managing 7 independent machines that performed 6 different molecular tests at rates over 300 tests per hour.Alternated with managing multiple Quantstudio 12K flex PCR diagnostic machines running over 1500 simultaneous tests during each 3 hour testing period.Revised test preparation process to check proper batching of most urgent patient tests. This changed the step from a 2 person hour long process to a 15 minute process performed by 1 person and ensured turn-around-times were met or exceeded.Managed the testing for Cobas 8800 as part of FDA clinical trials team for HPV testing and performed weekly maintenance, supply inventory management, and reporting as mandated by clinical trial requirements.

Performed various cytogenetic techniques including chromosome analysis,FISH,sterile tissue culture, and karyotyping in order to help diagnose many different oncological and constitutional disorders.Cross trained in specimen accessioning and regularly performed tissue harvest and slide preparation.I also worked as part of a team to establish a new comprehensive Laboratory Information Management System for the lab. Served as a liaison between the laboratory staff and technology staff to implement necessary modules . I was also the head trainer for the entire laboratory staff in this new software.
