Managing and integrating seat electrical and electronic systems for GM Luxury cars including Pontiac Solstice, Buick Lucerne, Cadillac DTS, CTS, STS, and SRX. Integrate OCS (Occupant Classification System) into GM vehicles. Integration of End of Line testers, test harness and protocol to test seats with heat/cool system. Work with suppliers to design, develop and test components to meet EMC requirements. Direct and evaluated cost studies and engineering/manufacturing studies. Work with Lear and OEM plants to optimize the assembly process.Work with the quality group, customer and suppliers to address quality and warranty concerns.

Worked with a team that created and implemented an infrared communication protocol (a simplified IrDA Protocol) for the transmission of data between a PDA and a PC.Designed and Prototyped the analog circuit using a Phototransistor that received the infrared signal and converted it into digital information.Created a digital circuit to retrieve and store data from a serial port, using a Xilinx XC4010XL FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) on a XS40 Prototype Board piggybacked on a XStend Board and ABEL HDL (hardware description language). The digital circuit was used to process the serial input from the analog circuit and convert it into data file stored through a parallel port in a PC.Assisted in developing software for a Palm Pilot that encoded text into an IR signal that was beamed to the serial port technology that we developed.

Ported a three dimensional Laser simulation from C to Matlab.Created programs in LabVIEW that recorded data from various electronic measuring devices. Debugged database software (SQL) for Microsoft Access that calculated noise interference. Developed LabVIEW software in that interfaced a computer with a stepper-motor to control an Ultrafast Laser.
