As a Quality Assurance Representative for the Material Fielding Team (MFT) Program that is responsible for PMCS, parts installation, repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, de-processing, and issue to the customer of the Abrams Main Battle Tank Family of Vehicles (FOV) and other tracked or wheeled vehicles. Assist in dispute resolution between the Maintenance team, customer, and various government agencies. Provide guidance and assistance to management to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Corporate practices and instructions. Is the primary training instructor for the MFT Team to include initial certification training, basic and advanced Abrams FOV maintenance training and theory of operation, as well as development of safety practices and procedures. I perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on family of Abrams Vehicles. Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in automotive systems (power-pack) engine, transmission, cooling, fuel, exhaust, driveline and suspension using built in test equipment (BITE), test equipment and/or manual troubleshooting procedures (MTPs), common and special tools and applicable technical documentation. Repair sub-systems and components, line replacement units (LRU's) of the Abrams. Perform maintenance steps to accomplish repairs will include disassembling, removing and replacing worn/ damaged/defective part(s), adjusting, reassembling and testing using applicable technical documentation. Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions in hydraulic systems common to all Abrams or unique to variants of the Abrams vehicle. Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties.

As a Certified Training Instructor with Team Abrams, New Equipment Training Team, I provided both large group and crew-level training to crewmen, program planning, hands-on training, and instructional techniques for the Abrams Family of Vehicles for the US Army. I assisted in training new instructors in technical matters on the Abrams Family of Vehicles. Presented classroom theory and hands-on instruction that encompasses vehicle familiarization; safe operations; drivers training, to include starting, stopping, driving; and PMCS. (Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services), operation of each crew station, and knowledge of maintenance procedures. Advised and assisted our customer, (US Government and US Army Personnel) in operator procedures at field sites during Live Fire Accuracy Screening Tests and unit level gunnery training. I managed all the Weapons Range Officer and Safety Officer training and certification, Tank and Bradley Crew Evaluator training and certification, Training Device training and use, Training Land and Ranges, and Ammunition requesting, safe use, and residue turn in for the entire Brigade Combat Team, for all gunnery training events, Brigade level Field Training Exercises and the planning and requisitioning of all combat load ammo for the Brigade Combat Team deployments to Iraq twice. I supervised over forty subordinates, managed the Brigade Headquarters' real property, the Brigade Headquarters' vehicles and facilities and housing of the junior enlisted soldiers. I managed the accountability, training, and deployment of soldiers, and equipment. 1999 - 2002, Ft Knox, KY, Senior Drill Sergeant and Instructor: I supervised, trained, motivated, counseled and disciplined over 140 Soldiers every 16 weeks. Responsible for coordination and accountability of all company level training, all training sites, all training aids, and assisted the administrative actions as well as supervised and mentored nine other Drill Sergeants. 1993 - 1999, Ft Hood, Texas M1A1 Tank Commander / Tank Platoon Sergeant / Tank Company Master Gunner: I supervised, trained, motivated, counseled and disciplined up to 14 Soldiers.
