Next Generation Entrepreneur / Founder Community

As an educator, I had the privilege of contributing to multiple school districts throughout the state. My roles included teaching social studies and special education classes, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs, and providing support in alternative education settings. I was fortunate to serve on various school committees, focusing on student achievement and community safety, and I enjoyed coaching the Cross-Country team. Throughout my tenure, I strived to demonstrate a strong commitment to helping students become better learners and higher achieving citizens. I am grateful for the opportunity to have made a positive impact on the educational landscape in Delaware. These experiences have allowed me to develop my skills in leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication, for which I am truly appreciative.

As Campaign Manager, I led all operations of a winning state-wide political campaign. Our campaign included an extensive field operation with more than 10 staff members working under my supervision. We successfully executed a unique and focused marketing strategy. As the underdog, our campaign defeated the incumbent state treasurer in the Democratic primary. We won, by large margins, in all counties and nearly all of the representative districts. Our campaign was outspent in the general election, but we still managed to win the by more than 6,000 votes.

Working directly with the Office Manager, I assisted with overall office operations. Part of my responsibilities included maintaining and updating an electronic database. I was also tasked with recruiting and coordinating volunteer attorneys. Through this position, I was able to gain valuable insight on policy development as it relates to children.

I worked to recruit volunteers for phone banking, canvassing, and GOTV efforts. I also consulted with numerous local campaigns to develop messaging, plan events, and identify target voters.

I was responsible for field operations in Sussex County for the most competitive gubernatorial race in the nation. I recruited and managed over 150 volunteers. I also planned and coordinated events for Lt. Gov. Carney, including events with over 200 guests. I consistently ranked near or at the top of the campaign and the state in volunteer recruitment numbers, phone banking, and canvassing.

My responsibilities included constituent relations, event planning and staffing the Senator at meetings and events in D.C. and in Sussex County. The engagement and functions of my position quickly grew during my tenure, and I was able to intimately and authentically experience the workings of a United States Senator's office.
