When I started out in 2014, I wanted to be a photographer and nothing else. I had no plan, no purpose. If I could photograph it, I did. It took me a while to develop my own style and my own sense of purpose. I think I finally got to grips with who I am as a photographer around the time of lockdowns and family time. Having quality time with my family and boys made me realise that life is simply too short to not document it. Since my days in London, I have loved documenting life as it happened. It was time to rekindle my life as a documentary photographer. But while doing so I want to capture moments of life to remember. A photo that will take you back in time. To the moments behind the scenes. That is my purpose. To give you more than what you pay for. To give value, instead of a service. Memories – whether digital or in print. That is what I want to do when I take out my camera. Nothing less and a whole lot more.

My duties as a reservationist include:- Take Phone Calls Answering questions about Namibia in general and/or the Epupa Region. Checking availability.- Negotiate Rates- Handle reservations from the enquiry to the final payment.- Handling cancellations professionally and ensuring there isn't a way to save the reservation.- Upselling Epupa Falls Lodge by providing details such as location and additional activities clients can book.- Solving problems via the phone or email.- Compiling and sending through the weekly planning to the lodge with every guest's specific details and dietary requirements.- Following up on bookings, collecting payments and sending invoices.- Building relationships with the agents.My responsibilities as a Marketing Manager:- Understanding & researching the needs of traditional and emerging marketing channels.- Constantly building relationships with our agents and direct clients.- Managing the budget and research to effectively use advertisements.- Analyzing analytics to forecast trends and challenges.- Familiarising myself and my colleagues with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design and the production thereof.- Collaborating with media organisations and advertising agencies.- Brainstorming ideas for new marketing campaigns.- Monitoring current campaigns and ensuring staff meets the requirements.- Maintain communication between the lodge staff and the office.

I started as a junior travel consultant in October 2008 selling Namibia to direct clients who enquired via the website. I was soon given the account of ATI's main UK agent. I really enjoyed my work at ATI Holidays and would have stayed if I could work remotely since we moved to another town. My responsibilities included the following:Designing complete travel itineraries for clients that include accommodation, restaurants & activities.Making and confirming all travel arrangements, including lodge accommodations, restaurant reservations and activities.Meeting and Greeting clients upon arrival in Windhoek, Namibia. Talking them through their itineraries, doing the vehicle check with them and answering every question they still have.Maintaining a relationship with the client throughout their stay in Namibia.Renting and confirming car rentals & car services to and from airports.Answering the phone and meeting clients that come into the office.Training junior consultants on all aspects of creating travel arrangements and satisfying clients.Building and maintaining relationships with our UK agents. And looking after their clients giving them the same warm welcome as we gave our direct clients.Travelling to the UK for Travel Shows.

I started out as a Customer Service Representative at Ski World.My duties and responsibilities included:Answering inbound phone calls, and addressing customers' questions about accommodation and services.Processing payments and returns.Keeping records of customer interactions, processing customer accounts and filing documents.Following communication procedures, guidelines and policies.Walking the extra mile to engage customers, solve issues and ensure happy and satisfied customers.I then moved to the Marketing Department as an assistant.Here my duties included:Compiling and distributing information such as website analytics & our brochure distribution.Contributing ideas to marketing campaigns.Writing marketing and brochure text.Organising presentations and events.Assisting with promotional activities.Liaising with customers/external agencies.Helping to organise market research.Proofreading the brochure and getting it ready for print.
