Guiding a POC project on student recommendation system using Apache Spark and MLib using clustering and recommendation algorithm. Worked on converting machine learning recommendation project based on Java, Mahout, Spring to work on NoSQL Cassandra using Spring and ORM Easy Cassandra. As an architect designed and developed a mobile plan recommendation module (component based) for BestBuy using Java, Mahout, Spring, Hibernate, and MySQL which exposes a few restful APIs for front end consumption of recommended and popular plans in JSON format.Worked on setup of Hadoop2 cluster with storm and oozie for a POC project. Developed program to execute perl program through Oozie coordinator using Yarn distributed shell.Lead customization and enhancement work on the product named Claritics, which is a campaign analytics platform with restful services with sophisticated custom visualization like funnels. This product is developed using Java, Google big query for the middleware/back end and Ruby on rail for the front end MVC application.Lead a big data project on scientific farming (Field scripts, Monsanto) using elevation LIDAR data of farmer’s land in different states in USA. The elevation data was ingested from different data files (Geotiff) into Hadoop, and processed data from HDFS pushed into HBase for API layers to extract the required information in real time. The software stack we used contains Hadoop 2, HBase, Java, MRUnit, Spring, Oozie, Hue, SVN and many other things.
