As a rapidly growing and emerging market, Vietnam's corporate bonds (CBs) market is estimated to be worth around USD 58 billion by the end of June 2022, comprising roughly 15% of the country's GDP. Within our department, my responsibilities included:- Research international best practices to find valuable insights into regulating corporate bond markets;- Managing and structuring the Corporate Bond Information System (CBIS) database, which serves as the official channel for pre- and post-issuance information on private offerings;- Spearheading the development of the new Corporate Bonds Trading System (CBTS), launched on 19th July 2023, focusing on data and system structuring. This innovative platform will revolutionize CBs trading in Vietnam, enhancing the transparency & security of transactions;- Conducting research on credit rating and ESG bond frameworks and information structures in Vietnam.- Manage the disclosure of information from issuers, depositors, underwriters, consultants, and other market participants.

Hanoi

- Led the internal user acceptance testing (IUAT) phase for the new Government Bonds Trading System (GTS) project provided by the Korean Stock Exchange (KRX). Coordinated with multiple stakeholders including stock exchanges, securities depositories, and regulatory bodies to review designs, test cases, and user manuals. This advanced system is positioned to become the primary trading platform for most of Vietnam's securities markets.- Supervised compliance with securities laws and regulations for 4 commercial banks, ensuring operational security and integrity.- Conducted research on international experiences in regulating corporate bonds, resulting in the establishment of Vietnam's first official channel for private placement issuance information (launched in March 2019).

- Assisting the Evaluation Associates with data analysis, reporting, and evaluation, presentation, process improvement, and dissemination.- Participating in weekly meetings with the Centerstone Research Institute staff, providing appropriate feedback to clinical agency partners regarding suggestions for program improvement, and working with other public health and social service professionals

- Supervised and monitored the compliance status of 9 securities companies with securities law and regulations using the Corporate Information Management System (CIMS)- Communicated constantly with representatives of those companies to receive requests and update information- Teamed up with other specialists from Market Information Department and Information Technology Department to work with the programing venders in upgrading and customizing CIMS system phrase II after 6 months of learning and using the system- Analyzed the performance of brokers to promote suitable policy decisions in form of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports which required understanding of companies’ activities and market movements- Researched international experiences about new products and markets including stock, bond and derivative market: “International Experience in Member Regulations of Derivative Market and application in Vietnam” (completed in Jun 2015) which gave recommendations about framework and technical parameters for the Derivative Member Regulation Code of HNX (published in Apr 2017)- Collaborated with international and domestic organizations to improve the equality, clarity and efficiency of the market by organizing conferences and forums such as: Annually Member Conferences, ASEAN Broker Networking conference, Capital Market Education Forum 2015
