Primary Job Functions:Network Administrator- Administer network equipment such as switches, routers, cabling, access points, and bridges as user requirements change. Design and implement new network systems when needed. VMware/Server Administrator- Administer Windows and Linux servers. Design and implement new systems to the specifications of the project. Determine whether systems should be physical or virtual based on the needs. Maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure supporting these machines including- Power, temperature, hypervisors, cluster management software, and host resources (CPU, Memory, Disk). Install Windows and Linux operating systems including the components required for the project. Review and install purchased server applications. Storage Administrator- Administer Storage Area Network providing centralized storage to our virtualized environment. Administer Direct Attached Storage connected to specialty servers. Design and implement new systems as needed. User Administration and Support- Make user specific changes to the above systems as users are hired and terminated ensuring appropriate setup and retention of data. Field user support calls regarding problems with the above systems.Security Administrator- Administer security systems such as firewalls, VPN’s, DMZ, Active Directory/NTFS permissions, Wireless access, Smartphone, and other methods of accessing Kinze data and resources both internally and externally. Audit systems for potential security vulnerabilities. Install patches to avoid vulnerabilities. Design and implement new systems as needed. Phone System Administrator- Administer Cisco Call Manager, Call Center, Unity Connection, and other third party phone system applications/servers. Administer phone system hardware like gateways, cabling and the phones themselves. Design and implement new systems as required by user needs. I provided ongoing monitoring and capacity planning for above systems.
