• Support the Dean of Students-Waterloo in navigating complex student cases and challenging policy interpretation, serve in the Dean of Students- Waterloo’s place as needed.

• Provide leadership to the revisions of Non-Academic Student Code of Conduct, to develop a more streamline conduct process with a clear focus on equity, accessibility and procedural fairness.

Waterloo Ontario

• Recruited, hired, supervised, trained and evaluated three professional staff members, who supported over 80 student staff and managed communities totaling 1600+ first-year students in a variety of building types.
• Used evidence based decision making to provided strategic direction to the Department of Residence in the area of student conduct management and crisis response.
• Facilitated the creation and implementation of the new Residence Code of Conduct, rooted in student development theories and student conduct administration best practices.

Gettysburg PA

• Supervise, evaluate and intentionally develop two full-time masters level Residence Life Coordinators (RLC) who manage two First-Year residential quads, housing 720+ students in corridor style gender neutral buildings.
• Develop relationships and organize cross-departmental committees to support the implementation of campus wide events related to First-Year Orientation.
• Support and manage the five day First-Year Orientation program and develop, with faculty partners, the extended orientation program, guided by learning outcomes and assessment.
• Collaborate with faculty in and out of the classroom to support first-year students’ transition to college via the First-Year Seminar program, and additional co-curricular activities.
• Create, revise, and assess student learning using the First-Year Residential Curriculum and Student Staff Learning Plan.
• Supervise the assessment and development of Resident Adviser training and selection processes, with special attention given to equity in the hiring processes and developing multicultural competence in training.

Bellingham, Washington

• Management of a 500-bed living area that included three different buildings, with 19 staff, and two desks.
• Developed and implemented the Residential Curriculum based on Baxter-Magolda’s Theory of Self-Authorship.
• Served as the primary community liaison for the development of the relationships between unionized facilities, custodial staff, and the residence life student staff.

La Verne

• Managed facilities and promoted community in a 230-bed living area with students of all class standings.
• Supervised, trained, and advised 8 Resident Assistants with an emphasis on diversity & inclusion programming.
