I work to maximize the up-time, performance, resources, and security of those systems, as well as provide routine automation; maintain security policies; troubleshoot and provide technical support on projects.Other daily tasks include system backups and disaster recovery readiness, as well as working towards a resolution for any issues which are escalated beyond our Helpdesk environment.

My daily duties included Tier 1 level help requests that were received by phone or email as well as identifying and escalating Tier 2 issues through the proper channels. Within a year I was promoted to a position as a Tier 2 Systems Administrator.

I started employment with Alpha Technologies as an on-site helpdesk technician stationed at Trinity Coal Company of St. Albans, WV, during which time I was the singular IT support for approximately 70 full time users. I was stationed at Trinity Coal for approximately 6 months before I was reassigned to a larger client, The Clay Center of Charleston, WV where I became the only IT support for 150+ users. My regular duties included simple IT jobs such as email configuration, setting up users in Active Directory as well as configuring network shares and troubleshooting day to day PC issues.
