The award-winning design firm, located in the 18b Arts District of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, focuses on a diverse range of project types that include: Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Public Work projects.Dwayne is an NCARB Certified architect licensed to practice architecture in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, Utah, Texas, and Wyoming. He received both his initial Nevada architect’s license and LEED Accreditation in 2002. Dwayne is a highly skilled architect and designer and is responsible for the success of every project that comes through the firm. NOVUS Architecture has been the recipient of two NEWH Hospy Awards and has also been recognized by the organization as the 2020, 2019 and 2017 TOP Design Firm in Las Vegas. The firm won a 2020 AIA Nevada Merit Award for the Unbuilt CORE Community Resource Center project.Dwayne has been a member of the American Institute of Architects Las Vegas Chapter for 27 years and has served on the board for several years. He recently served as AIA Nevada President in 2020 and AIA Las Vegas President in 2019 and his theme for the year is Blueprint For Better: Explorations into Affordable Housing and Homelessness. He is also a member of the UNLV College of Fine Arts Board representing the UNLV School of Architecture. Other professional memberships include the Urban Land Institute, the U.S. Green Building Council, and NAIOP’s Committee on the Environment. Dwayne has been adjunct faculty at the UNLV School of Architecture where he has taught several design studios over the past two decades. He is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Henderson program inspired by the City of Henderson Chamber of Commerce. Dwayne is a U.S. Air Force Veteran stationed at Nellis A.F.B. from 1984-1990 and his firm is a 100% CVE Certified Veteran Owned Small Business.
