I created Enersource in March 2012 to assist clients develop and manage projects that reduce energy use and costs, improve the environment and create U.S. based jobs. Enersource provides expert project management and honestly brokered information at a competitively priced rate. Enersource’s approach is based upon my 32 years as an energy professional enabling stakeholders to understand the arcane but essential world of electricity production and use, and how to manage its associated impacts. Enersource provides assistance in grant writing, governmental relations, team building, technology application, and workforce development for Clean Energy applications. In 2013, Enersource assisted a client create a Southeast regional wind energy organization that promotes responsible development. Enersource developed training procedures for a firm that provides technical assistance in clean energy applications to minority farmers and businesses. Enersource provided research and grant writing consultation to a wind developer interested in building a wind to hydrogen system in a remote U.S. Arctic region.Before Enersource, I worked for the federal government and two major cities. At the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where I worked for over 12 years, I was Field Manager for the former Wind Powering America initiative. I managed wind energy projects from merit reviews to closeouts. I began my DOE career in the Atlanta Southeast Regional Office managing solar (hot water heating and PV), and wind technology projects. Before DOE, I was a City of Chicago deputy commissioner in the Department of Environment and managed utility franchise oversight, policy development for district energy, building codes, emergency response, and City building retrofits. Prior to that, I worked for the City of New Orleans managing energy and environmental projects leading up to my assignment providing revenue and expenditure forecasting for the annual City budget.
