Project Manager Materials Disposal Areas
CurrentN3B Project Manager for the Materials Disposal Areas (MDAs) Program consisting of seven sites: MDA A, AB, C, G, H, L and T. This includes landfill gas collection and control, cover system design/construction, closure plan development, and geotechnical assessment. • Extensive experience in leading integrated project teams and stakeholders to identify and implement the appropriate path to achieve regulatory closure and complete Appendix B Milestones as part of the Consent Order Agreement between New Mexico and the DOE.• Experience managing project scope, schedule, costs, and risks; including knowledge and experience in Earned Value Management Systems.• Providing technical leadership and expertise specifically related to RCRA environmental site characterization and remediation.• Excellent writing and planning ability to develop scopes of work, project documents, and schedules for self-performed and subcontracted work.• Excellent coordination and communication skills to lead and facilitate project meetings with EM-LA, regulators, and other stakeholders.• As a project manager, regularly use skills and abilities to perform critical strategic tasks and to interpret broad strategic and technical requirements. Will develop and execute plans to meet and satisfy project goals for compliance to N3B policies and Compliance Order requirements.• Strong and effective interpersonal skills, such as leading the project team, or work as part of a team. Ability to communicate, work and interact effectively and amicably with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and personalities. • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in formal and informal conditions either in meetings or reports.• Strong ability to lead a team or work independently to accomplish project objectives using experience, expertise, training, and attention to detail.
