Network IT Manager charged with technical management of the Department of Defense’s Office of Military Commissions 500 node network. Management included managing all OCDC IT resources to include IT hardware, software, new requirements processing, change requests, automated data processing equipment (ADPE) inventory, cellular/wireless, desk-side support functions, video teleconferencing (VTC), and user orientation/training. Management included working in close coordination with the OMC IT Branch Chief who managed OMC strategic IT planning.Daily responsibilities: Managed and maintained 6 Servers (Windows 2008 and 2012 managed with direct login and via VMware vSphere Client), 5 Cisco 2500 series switches that connected back to a Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series chassis that maintained contact for 5 offices to connect back to the production servers for file, printing and, applications. Additionally in each office (1 office was overseas) were General Dynamics Secure High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor ( HAIPES) devices that were needed because the traffic was Top Secret. Management duties included coordination with management about hardware, software, new requirement processing, help desk functions, and user orientation/training.Managed and Oversaw 10 network infrastructure projects totaling 800k. * Managed 2 New office infrastructure installations. * Attended preparation meetings, briefed management about requirement proceedings and led the relocation effort (ADPE equipment, phones, computers, printers) into the new facility and out of the old facility.

Senior Vulnerability Mitigation Tiger Team member charged with assessing and analyzing a Department of Defense client's 2500 node network. Management included Vulnerability Management System (VMS) research and coordination, client and help desk customer base communication, and record documentation. Team effort resulted in a 50 % reduction in category 1 vulnerabilities. Received Booz Allen Hamilton Perfornance and Team Award in recognition for this outstanding support to the DoD Vulnerability Management efforttraining, and network administration.

Ft. Belvoir Army Installation

Managed Network Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis program for 5000 node network as a key member of Network Operations and Security Operations Center. Responsible for Internet Vulnerability Assessment Alert (IAVA) Program support for HQ DAU and four regional networks. Network Operations and Security Operations Center duties included Firewall, Web Security Filtering, and Web Application Assessments ManagementDaily Responsibilities: Equipment Used: Retina Network Security Scanner, Lumension Network Security Scanner (for Vulnerability Assessments), HP WebInspect (for Web Application Vulnerability Assessments). Managed and maintained connectivity for DAU’s General Dynamics Secure High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor ( HAIPES) devices, managed and maintained Websense Web Security Filtering for DAU and its four regional networks. Firewall (Pix that was upgraded to Cisco ASA) and IDS management was limited to opening up ports for DAU programs, security, and log reviews but it was secondary to my duties as a Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis Manager with POAMs, Websense Security Filtering and Web Application Assessments as my primary focus.
