As a more senior Knowledge Engineer for Alexa Sports, I managed and launched all of 2020 Summer Olympic coverage for Alexa. This consisted of partnering to license new data feeds, designing the ontology and visualizations, building new sports suites and features, and collaborating with international teams to localize all of our content. My team and I were able to answer millions of questions for our customers across 7 different languages. We launched 4 new Olympic features and 5 new customized visualizations!

As a Knowledge Engineer for Alexa Sports, I enabled Alexa to answer sports questions, such as “Alexa, what is the score of the Seahawks game”, through building rapid ingestion data pipelines, designing the ontology for Alexa’s Knowledge Graph, licensing new data feeds, and improving natural language understanding and answering features. I built out new sports suites such as horse racing and sumo wrestling, as well as enhanced the tennis and football suites.
