Software Engineer
CurrentAt Momento, I deliver serverless solutions to accelerate developer productivity.I'm involved in the design, implementation, and operation of all our flagship offerings, including cache, topics, leaderboards, and more to come! I help set the direction of our product definitions and features, and architect the engineering solutions to deliver them to customers.I advocate relentlessly for quality, maintainability, and usability of our offerings. I step between the shoes of customer, engineer, and operator to ensure we deliver products that meet everyone's needs. I mentor and aid my peers so that we can learn and grow together, while ensuring that we're unblocked to continue moving at our lightning pace.As my first experience at a startup, Momento has offered me the chance to guide our technical direction and build solutions from the ground up to solve problems at scale. I'm hugely appreciative to have been allowed to grow the scope of my influence during my time here. I've leveraged my background in running enterprise-scale services to make sure that we're always positioned for growth.The contribution I'm most proud of is one of our backend storage services, which I designed, architected, and did significant development of. It features seamless, lossless horizontal scaling, and over the course of year has scaled to terabytes per hour of traffic with no operational issues or outages. It also delivered a significant reduction of ongoing infrastructure costs - a reduction on the order of 90% compared to the previous solution!
