I'm a Graduate from Sacramento State with a Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences. I was a scholarship athlete on the Track and Field team, where I long jumped for five years. I worked as an EMT for about a year and a half where I gained very valuable experience in the medical field. I am currently attending KCU-Joplin College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Navy HPSP scholarship, where I will be able to serve in the armed forces as a physician.I am fascinated how the human body works, not only in its individual parts but as a whole. Much of this fascination comes from my time as an athlete, dealing with injuries and overcoming them, as well as my time as an EMT, dealing with emergent medical situations. As a future physician, I will be working in the United States Navy for at least part of my career, then potentially in the civilian world, providing my patients with the best care possible.
