I have completed my level 2 technical certificate in plumbing, and I achieved a Distinction Star grade. I am very interested in continuing a career in Plumbing and I am actively looking for a company to carry out a level 3 apprenticeship. I have recently completed a work placement with Mack Heating Services which confirmed that I would like to pursue a career in plumbing.During my course I have learnt a variety of skills. I have particularly enjoyed radiator and basin installation which I have been able to carry out on my work placement. As well as this, I was also fortunate to observe boiler servicing which is something I also think I would enjoy and be able to carry out myself in the future. It has been a challenging year due to COVID which has meant I have completed the theory online and attended college only for practical. I have needed to motivate myself to learn and have managed to do this by completing my work to a high standard and gained knowledge, despite the challenges, in Plumbing. During my course, I had to complete a work placement, which I particularly enjoyed, and found it interesting, gaining hands on experience. In this role, I assisted in various aspects of Plumbing including the servicing of oil boilers. I gained a variety of skills that will help me to contribute effectively to my Plumbing career. This also made me realise that this is the job I would like to do and would now like the opportunity to gain experience through an apprenticeship.At present I work part time at MGS in Rougham, where I work 16 hours a week in the Plastic Fabrication department. I have also been doing plumbing work for Mack Heating Services and Emerald Heating when they have required me, which I have been keen to uptake and gain more experience in the plumbing industry.I would bring determination, enthusiasm and a high standard of work to an apprenticeship role. I have demonstrated these qualities through my work experience and part time job. I always complete my work to a high standard across a variety of different tasks. The opportunity to further develop my skills and pursue a career in this field makes an apprenticeship position very valuable to me.
