I have coordinated with colleagues in the DEA and MBI through several of my investigations. I respond expeditiously to calls of both an emergency and non-emergency nature, providing professional assistance to the general public in a very broad cross-section of circumstances. My dedication to ongoing training and development put me frequently into more advanced training programs to enhance both my skills and knowledge while keeping up with the latest techniques and procedures in law enforcement. I often cross-train in specialized units, such as the Tourist Oriented Policing Squad, which deals with unique challenges in high-tourism areas to enhance overall community safety. Through these efforts, I build strong relationships with local residents and businesses, fostering trust and cooperation between the community and law enforcement. I am a proactive deputy who is able to consistently anticipate potential issues, take prompt action, and have successfully intervened in and stopped several instances of crimes in progress. My vigilance and quick response often prevented criminal activities from escalating, ensuring the safety and security of the community. It was my commitment and excellence in service that earned me the title of 2023 Reserve Deputy of the Year in my agency.
