💻 Computer Scientist 🤖| 📐Mathematician 🧮 | 🎓 Upcoming Graduate 🧠Hi there! I'm Dylan Camacho, set to graduate from Harvey Mudd College with a major in Mathematics and Computer Science in spring 2024. Equipped with a versatile technical toolkit, I'm prepared to contribute to cutting-edge software engineering, quantitative analytics, and machine learning projects.📚 Academic Background 🎒At Harvey Mudd College I’ve been empowered with a computer science and mathematics curriculum of extensive breadth and depth. This included experience working with and learning about linear regressions/models, neural networks, probability/statistics, differential equations, data structures/algorithms, computational logic, linear algebra, multivariable calculus, robotics, programming language design, and discrete mathematics. This past spring, I was lucky enough to study abroad in Spain at Carlos III de Madrid which served to broaden my perspective and worldview.💻 Technical Proficiency 💡Coding is core to my skill set. My expertise spans multiple programming languages, from backend-focused Python, C, C#, Java, C++, PHP, and SQL to frontend-focused HTML, CSS, and JavaScript along with the more mathematic and academic-centered R, Haskell, MATLAB, Assembly, and Lisp. I’m also well familiar with a host of practical libraries/frameworks such as PyTorch, React, Numpy, and Vue. As for software, I have varied experience using .NET, Git, Docker, Visual Studio, Excel, Figma, Photoshop, and Unity.💼 Professional Experience 👨💻For the past two summers, I’ve worked as a full-stack software engineer intern at Costar Group – specifically Homes.com – developing and shipping new features in an Agile workflow. In the past, I’ve worked at my college as both an IT Technical Assistant, which helped me better grasp computational hardware, and a Teachers Assistant, which reinforced my knowledge of core programming concepts. My prior tenure as a Teachers Assistant for MIT Lincoln Labs was a stellar opportunity to work with/teach about computer vision and autonomous vehicles. The time I previously spent as a Front-end Developer at 540 Interactive helped solidify some client-side fundamentals not typically represented in academic computer science.🌐 Connecting Professionally 🌍You can explore my technical projects on my portfolio website: dylancamacho.com or on my GitHub: github.com/dylancam812.
