Here, I simultaneously communicate with and guide back of house staff, ensure the bar is appropriately managed, serve customers to a high standard and resolve queries in a professional and efficient manner. Being a longer serving staff member, I commonly assist newer staff in conflict resolution; while also providing them with advice on how to assist customers in a professional manner, and communicate with kitchen staff in a productive way. Within this role I also communicate with our venue manager and other bartenders to resolve issues that arise during shifts, allowing the bar to function at a high standard with a full menu - thus allowing a fluent service for both our team and customers.

Within this role I provide academic tutoring for 3/4 VCE students. Alongside helping my students comprehending course content, I place a large focus on promoting healthy study habits and organisation and time management skills. Building off of my own habits, I help my students understand how they can flexibly manage their social, academic and extra-curricular life to get the most out of school and achieve the results they want, while continuing to take part in the things they love.

Within this volunteering role I engage with prospective students, sharing my experiences of life at Monash University while supporting various recruitment activities - such as 'Monash Scholars' events and campus tours. This involves event management and assisting with social media campaigns.

'The Push Up Challenge' is a mental and physical health promotion campaign, run by the "Push for Better" foundation. The challenge endeavours to promote physical activity, and awareness of the causal factors of poor mental health in Australia. Within this volunteering role I work alongside the student engagement team to facilitate mental health workshops for Student Ambassadors of 'The Push Up Challenge,' preparing them for their role in leading the campaign at their own school.
