I am a transition year student in Virginia college, I have done two weeks work experience in Mercury BIM Engineering offices and one week doing marketing in BDO. I have experienced meeting about sales and coffee meeting with potential clients about future events. I have also done a good review of the company and what it has to offer, I’ve seen and helped with the membership association and learned how they use social media to put there events out there to the people. I’ve also helped manage expenses in excel and seen a lot about admins. I have also been shown how they use Microsoft office to help them organize and work. As well I did research for my supervisor on new companies that are worth working with in the future and companies they’re going to meet soon to work with . In Mercury I learned all about what the BIM (building information modeling) team do and how the use software such as Revit and Navisworks to help design the buildings they are creating. I learned how to create a building with all the essential like pipes, ventilations , sprinklers and lights. I also learned how VR and AR be if it the team and the people on site.
