I offered tutoring services to students taking classes I had previously completed in other terms. Course included those required for completion of a BS in biological sciences at Texas A&M University Commerce. I primarily offered lessons through email, in person, and the occasional zoom. Through these lessons I gained virtues such as patience, critical thinking, and empathy, which I believe are all important characteristics in becoming a quality leader.

In this shadowing experience I had the opportunity to observe Dr. Richard Jelsma, an orthopedic surgeon at Baylor Scott and White Surgical Hospital. This involved attending surgical procedures, observing pre and post operative care, and attending surgical meetings.

I gained shadowing experience with Dr. Joseph Lipscomb M.D. at TPG Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, in which I observed patient examination, diagnosis, and presentation of possible treatment options.
