I am currently working as a Waterway Safety Officer with Safe Transport Victoria, having completed a Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in the field of International Relations and Affairs. I am extremely passionate about public safety and wellbeing and continue to volunteer my time as a Surf Life Saver.I am looking for networking and employment opportunities within the fields of Government, Leadership Development and Education and Training.Through my previous roles I have had the opportunity to engage with professionals and members of the community both within Victoria and abroad, providing Water Safety education. In that capacity I have assisted in fostering engagement and enthusiasm within the community for public safety. And also provided training to professionals who have used those skills in life threatening emergencies.Beyond my passion for Surf Life Saving, I am drawn to roles and opportunities that promote diversity and inclusion. And I pursue positions in which I am able to provide tangible benefit or relief to the community as well as engagement on issues of public health and safety.I engage with clients, candidates and students with enthusiasm, creating learning and professional environments that are fun places to work or to learn. Some of the content my roles require me to deliver, requires sensitivity and empathy. Both to ensure a safe environment for the candidates or students, but also to preserve the seriousness of the information or idea. However, wherever else possible I try to make jokes and have fun, as I believe that it is an invaluable tool for learning and engaging with other team members. And I believe that that is a skill set and mindset that is adaptable to a wide spectrum of roles.
