Profile bio

About Dylan Hall

My involvement in Outdoor Leadership is going on in its 10th year. I have been involved in Outdoor Leadership since I was in middle school. I worked as a Naturalist and ropes course staff bringing other students into the park we had. As the year went on I became the president of the organization and began to run the course from a leader perspective which included assigning staff to positions, double checking equiptment and setups. My trip leader growth did not start until my 2nd year as an undergraduate while attending Bowling Green State University. In my second year I went through the interview process and weeklong staff training held at Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia. From this training in my first year I led varying trips from weekend canoeing trips to Rappelling and climbing trips. Into my second year with the program, third at the university, I was interviewed and promoted to the Student Supervisor position for the Bowling Green State University Outdoor Program. At this position I do my best to help and support my staff in their ambitions and their trip leader growth in the program. During my summers I work as a climbing instructor for the Falling Creek Camp adventure program. Working in North Carolina has raised my knowledge of climbing and wilderness trip leading. While working there, the trips I would team lead would vary from 1 day to 1 week in areas across NC and Tennessee with sport climbing, traditional and bouldering as the focuses. On the weekends at school, I mostly spend my time training and trying to make time to go down to the RRG.

Listed skills include Leadership, Rock Climbing, Public Speaking, Outdoor Education, and 27 others.
