As a sophomore in high school, I started working in a commercial television newsroom. I continued working in this job for 5+ years before moving from Columbia to the Kansas City area.I started working at my job as a production assistant, and my responsibilities required editing videos that would be used live on air. These videos I would edit included regular VO's, VOSOT's, and Packages. Another of my responsibilities was to run audio live on the air which included controlling anchor microphones and specific tunes required for each story. I would also be responsible for writing scripts for the news casts as an associate producer. I also would operate the prompter.I would frequently take unscheduled shifts from absent team members.After graduating from highschool, I attended college and graduated with my associates with a 4.0 every semester, and was on the presidents list for four semesters in a row.
