I am an aspiring engineer who is eager to get the qualifications necessary to build a career in this industry, therefore I am currently studying towards a degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering. I am currently working at Tesco as a customer assistant which has helped me develop a range of transferable skills such as: organisation, attention to detail, teamwork, problem solving, communication and a tenacious work ethic. I have completed my study of a Level 3 Access to Engineering course which enabled me to gain key fundamental maths and physics skills, as well as practical hands skills due to having practical assessments throughout the year. Having completed the course I achieved a final grade of a triple distinction (DDD). I am keen to forge a career in the engineering sector because I'm looking for practical, hands-on work as I really enjoy fault finding/problem solving, maintenance work and implementing/testing new products. I have also achieved a triple Distinction* (D*D*D*) in level 3 Public Services which helped show me the value of hard work and discipline both in and out of the workplace. In this course, one of the topics I learnt a lot about was health & safety. For example, I studied how carrying out risk assessments is key to working safe in the workplace. With all my experiences combined I fully believe I have the characteristics and skills to achieve highly in a given apprenticeship, going on to become a valued engineer within the company.All my hard work and experience has led me to the point where I am now studying Electrical & Electronic Engineering. I am really enjoying what the course is offering and I am really enjoying learning something new everyday, which is only making me a more skilled individual and giving me the skill set to eventually implement into my future career.
