I'm a Systems Engineer with quite a bit of experience in telecommunications product design: from high level concept through to detailed implementation.I'm very much a generalist. Possibly because lots of things interest me.At a very high level my typical approach to systems is to generate a simple model of the system which can be implemented in Python. These models are then used to run various experiments, the results of which are compared against expected performance. Expected performance is typically derived in an approximate way with pen and paper. In this way we can quickly generate a simple, validated model that sufficiently matches reality: enough to guide the implementation and close the iterative loop that is development.
