Driven by a deep commitment to justice and amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable in our community, I am on a lifelong mission to make a positive impact.As a Youth Director at First-Plymouth, I have honed my leadership skills through humility and a strong focus on building meaningful relationships. Overseeing a diverse range of service trips, from local initiatives in Des Moines, IA to multi-city excursions in Guatemala, I have witnessed consistent growth in both the participation and the depth of conversations within our youth groups. Guided by a lens of justice and equity, we have successfully organized numerous fundraisers and community events that have garnered increased engagement.Transitioning into the public education sector, I continue to champion the values I hold dear while leveraging my previous experiences for rapid success in the classroom. Teaching social sciences has opened my eyes to the inequalities present within our educational institutions, fueling my motivation to work towards positive change. In addition to my teaching role, I proudly serve as a coach for our Spartan Esports team and sponsor for our school's Student Council, empowering students to explore their passions and make a difference.
