About Dylan Pathirana
In our everchanging and fast-paced society, the focus has shifted from quality and craftsmanship to speed and volume, resulting in a world of single-use products and people who ask "how long will it take", not "how long will it last". It has caused us to neglect our environment, the very thing that provides us with what we have. It's scary to think that by 2050, there will be more pieces of plastic in the ocean than fish in the sea, a testament to our ignorance. From a young age, the environment has fascinated me and was one of the reasons I started Thinking Outside The Pallet. I aimed to reduce the number of timber pallets getting sent to the incinerator and in turn reduce the demand on newly harvested timber.I believe that it is crucial that we take our impact on the environment more seriously if we want to maintain this beautiful world for generations to come.
Listed skills include Woodworking, Problem Solving, Product Design, Customer Service, and 4 others.
