I am a student in my final year of my BA in psychology and sociology at the University of Houston. I love being able to dig deep to answer complex questions and I have developed a passion for social research. I have a diverse set of interests, ranging from gender and sexuality to food systems. My coursework and research assistantship at Rice University have developed my experience with data organization and conducting literature reviews. As part of the 2024 Mellon Scholar cohort at UH, I will have to opportunity to work on my own summer research, exploring the interactions of sexuality and religious beliefs. I am excited to continue developing my research skills through internships, and eventually graduate school. When I’m not in class, you can find me at a coffee shop working on an illustration or enjoying live music at a concert.
