With an extroverted personality and need to be in the middle of the party, I was naturally pulled toward a career in event planning, promotion and marketing. After a random stint planning a junior high dance, I fell in love with event planning as a teenager and was thrilled to learn I could actually make a living doing what I loved most; creating memorable experiences and celebrations for those around me.I developed an artistic eye for upscale food and beverage events as a Food and Beverage Intern at the Westin New York at Times Square, where I proved my ability to work in fast-paced, often demanding situations with clients and colleagues. My rigorous coursework in Food Services Fundamentals and Food and Beverage Management as part of my curriculum at Boston University School of Hospitality provided me with the skills necessary to forecast and plan the ordering for food and beverage for a large scale hotel.One of my biggest accomplishments to date was planning a 3 day conference with 200+ guests in attendance for Boston University Events and Conferences. Ask any member of my team and they would tell you that my biggest strengths as a project manager are my strong orientation to detail, organizational skills, and ability to use humor to create team unity.I will graduate with my B.S. in Hospitality Administration at Boston University this May and am currently seeking my next opportunity in Event Management for a hotel.
