As part of a large, hierarchical, team of academic researchers, trained in and employed Cprogramming language in context of parallel computing. Also used Matlab and MPI.Contributed code used at the NCAR-Wyoming Supercomputing Center. Assisted in solvingphysics and hydrological problems. Project goal of developing new model of groundwatermovement achieved under leadership of University of Wyoming Professor Dr. Fred Ogden.

Using Python and XML created a GUI for a GIS database built on ArcGIS. The tool wasdesigned to simulate the biased random movements of an entity on a street map. Thesimulation is run several times and a heat map of traffic is generated which shows the mostlikely routes taken by the entity. The movement pattern can be configured and my GUI wasdesigned to simplify the configuration process. Tested the model using tracking datagenerated by my own movements as recorded by a GPS-enabled watch. The team includedone other undergraduate student besides the faculty lead.
