Dylan Steinwedel Email and Phone Number
Over the course of my educational and occupational careers, I have learned a great many of things, but the most important thing in my opinion is that I have learned that I am a writer; and that I want to make a true career out of that skillset. I have spent the last several years of my life trying to hone my writing skills and find the field I would be best suited in; and that has taken me to a great many of places and taught me a great many of lessons and skills. I have been a part of various creative writing groups and classes, where I have met and worked alongside professionals and aspiring peers alike to help develop my skillset in both creating solid and compelling narrative works and screenplays. Through these outlets I have also gained crucial experience in editing both my pieces and the works of my peers in a professional and constructive manner. I have also started dabbling in the realm of technical writing to widen my writing skillset to be able to branch out into other professional fields where I may be an asset. Outside of the creative and technical realm, I have spent a lot of time in journalistic fields. These fields have not only helped me create new writing skills in journalistic pursuits, but helped me create new skills outside of writing, such as: app development, photography, audio and visual production, software development, interviewing, and UX testing just to name a few. Currently, I am an intern at PressBox Sports Media in Baltimore, Maryland. Here I create journalistic sports articles, edit the works of my peers and superiors alike, and occasionally write briefs and works of copywriting for the company. If my experience proves anything it's that I'm more than willing to branch out and try out new things; and more often than not, excel in these new fields. I am always willing to learn. I'm always willing to grow. I'm always willing to try something new. For to be a great writer you need to be open to everything because the best works come from those who have continued to learn, continued to grow, continued to live, and most importantly continued to try; and I am more than willing to do all of those things to be the best writer I can be and make the best possible products I can. That is who I am and that is what I will always strive to be.
