I have been privileged to have the opportunity to be thrown into new and challenging work environments since finishing my undergrad in December of 2018. Having accepted an internship with the Department of the Air Force, I have continuously been put into a new position year after year, learning and growing within the organization. I have participated at the ground level of transportation and logistics, moving cargo around the world via multi-modal shipping lanes utilizing everything from rail and maritime vessels to commercial line haul and military aircraft. While progressing through my internship, I experienced the strategic level while overseeing contract acquisition of a shipping program that impacts nearly 400,000 people each year. Additionally, I acted as a project manager for a team of software developers that implemented functionality changes of the website that interfaced with the customers. This process provided me exposure to Agile Software Development practices.After finishing the internship, I now support the warfighter through the validation process of strategic sea and airlift requirements. This position has given exposure to operational planning and execution.I recently finished my master’s degree from Charleston Southern University in Supply Chain Management. I am interested in expanding my knowledge of commercial supply chain management operations and continuing to grow as a logistician.
